What is Yukon Virtual School?
Yukon Virtual School is available for students in grades kindergarten through twelfth grade. Students who participate in this academic pathway are required to complete an online application and all classes are completed off campus.
The curriculum will be provided by the content management systems (CMS) Edgenuity (7th-12th grade) and Flexpoint (K-6th grade). A Yukon Public School teacher, counselor and administrator will be assigned to each student for support and monitoring purposes. Students will be required to take district progress monitoring benchmark assessments three times a year (beginning, middle and end of year) and any assessments required by the Oklahoma State Department of Education.

Please note that students who are enrolled in our virtual school will no longer be assigned to their home school. If a student returns to the traditional classroom setting at a later date, school site and/or elective choices may be limited. Virtual school enrollment requires a semester long commitment. You will not be allowed to change your enrollment from virtual to the traditional options until the next semester. Enrollment and path change dates for the second semester will be sent to families at a later time.

Yukon Virtual Hybrid Information
Yukon Hybrid Virtual Requirements
Yukon Virtual High School now offers a program that is NCAA compliant, called Yukon Hybrid Virtual. Courses completed in this program will show up on transcripts as HV courses. This notation is approved by the NCAA and is documented in the NCAA Eligibility Center. In order to receive Hybrid Virtual credit the courses must meet certain requirements and follow specific procedures. These procedures are outlined below. If you have questions, please reach out to your counselor, Rebecca Reape-Middaugh (rebecca.middaugh@yukonps.com) or Erica Ajayi (virtual@yukonps.com)
Students must complete weekly instruction and feedback sessions with their instructors. 80% attendance is required to receive the VH credit. Students that need additional intervention after this meeting may be required to attend Focus Friday.
Students will only be able to access up to a week of content at one time. If a student gets more than 1 week ahead, they will be locked at that spot until it is time to move forward.
Hybrid courses will not be modified to remove content or time from the class. The only exception will be that wet labs can be removed when virtual labs are available in the course as well.
Instructors will grade all activities not evaluated by the program. Additionally, they will review all auto graded short answer entries.
Students will only receive 1 attempt at all quizzes, tests and exams. Teachers have the ability to provide 1 retake, but may also ask for the student to provide completed guided notes or another activity. Additional retakes after this will only be available after a required meeting or in situations of a student having a formal plan stating the requirement of additional attempts to redo assignments.
